1) The Right Time

After several broken romances, I eventually met my wife. I felt this one would last so it was “The Right Time to Start Again”.

2) The Goldfish Song

(A favourite of mine)

I wrote it with the kids in mind. Something for them to sing to on long car journeys, and it worked!

3) Kings and Queens

I wrote this song as a tribute to my long standing friendship with my old mate John. We had many a wild night during our university days in Belfast.

4) Malcolm Keno

After an inspiring trip to South Africa in 1998, I wrote this song. I visited Robben Island where Nelson Mandela had been imprisoned - awesome This song won a merit award at Unisong California.

5) Goodbye Heartache

During my Belfast days we had a backing singer in the band called Mary. When she decided to get married, I wrote this song as a wedding present!

6) Small Town Boy

I grew up in a small town in Northern Ireland, helping my Dad run his pub. I always knew I would leave the town one day and venture to sunnier shores.

7) The Fishermans Tale

(My favourite song and title track)

I had been scuba diving in Northern Spain when one night I saw a small flotilla of fishing boats heading out of the harbour. Each had a small lantern at the back of their boats and they all followed in a line. The song was quickly born.

8) Angel

I wrote this song for my wife and she liked it!

9) Van Diemens Land

A song about the history, beauty and places that greeted me when I arrived in Tasmania. A good friend and local Resident Stephen Bourke helped me write it. It won the “Peoples Choice” award at George Town Folk Festival.

10) Love Song

A haunting song about enduring love. The man in the coffee shop is just a small indiscretion she had while waiting for her true love to return.

11) When you go Away

A good acoustic number with a sad ending!

12) Swans

This song always reminds me of the story “The Children of Lir” separation from a loved one is always hard. In this song he laments wishing he was a Swan inseparable from his partner “flying far away never to part”.
